Here in Sarasota we have some of the best beaches in the world & bikini season is just around the corner. The weather is getting warmer as we dream of days on the boat & beach. Luckily, Baker & Wife has several health-conscious options. For most of us, we associate eating healthy with meal-preps and bland meals. With our healthy options, you don’t have to make the compromise between staying at home with Tupperware or going out to socialize for a delicious meal.

Using fresh & local ingredients is always a priority in making dynamic dishes. We know that our Sarasota foodies value health & delicious flavor simultaneously. We cater to our vegan & vegetarian, gluten-free & low-calorie connoisseurs.

Baker & Wife has been recently awarded the Diners’ Choice badge through OpenTable for our healthy dining options. This Diners’ Choice honor was an unexpected delight that has overwhelmed us with happiness!

Baker & Wife offers Soup du Jour, a new variety is always available when you dine with us. Be sure to ask your server to learn what soup we are offering that day. Soups are always high in flavor & low in calories. If you start your meal off with soup, you have the feeling of being full quicker so you stop yourself from filling up on heavier foods like carbs and fried appetizers.

Perfect portions are important when you are dining out. The Chargrilled Octopus is served on top of sauteed spinach, green onion, baby tomato & charred orange in just the right portion to satisfy you. The rich combination of flavors comes from the orange & fresh vegetables instead of popular ingredients like butter & fatty fillers.

The All Beef Meatball is low-carb & high-satisfaction. This dish is protein-packed & doesn’t resemble diet food at all! Our flavorful beef meatball rests on top of spaghetti squash to bring a healthy twist to a classic dish.

Lighter fare doesn’t have to be light on flavor, like our Watercress Butternut Squash & Kale Salad. Most salads are drenched in fatty dressings for flavor, this salad is tossed in a tangy Dijon citrus vinaigrette, parmesan & pepitas or pumpkin seeds for crunch.
